About the Role: BIO-CAT is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to help drive growth across our enzyme and microbial product portfolio.  This is a senior-level sales role for someone who combines strong business development experience with scientific and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will develop new business opportunities, strengthen key customer relationships, identify new markets, and work closely with customers to develop solutions that meet their technical and commercial needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow an assigned sales portfolio while building strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Identify and develop new business through leads, referrals, prospecting, industry networking, and new market opportunities
  • Partner with customers to understand their technical needs and recommend effective enzyme and microbial solutions
  • Convert opportunities into business through product-to-application matching, problem-solving, technical communication, and quote development
  • Develop customer and product forecasts and establish quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Meet established annual sales goals tied to the position’s sales incentive program
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to strategic and prospective customers
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and other business development events
  • Support, coach, and serve as a resource to other members of the Business Development and Sales teams
  • Collaborate across BIO-CAT departments to support customers and advance company growth
  • This position requires extensive travel.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales planning, account management, and customer relationship development
  • Experience coaching or supporting sales team members
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, adaptability, and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000–$160,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for an annual sales incentive targeted at 25% of base salary upon achievement of established sales goals.

BIO-CAT also offers a generous benefits package, with the company covering nearly 100% of employee and dependent benefit costs and funding 100% of the in-network medical deductible through an HRA.
