BIO-CAT is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Production Associate to support production, packaging, blending, cleaning, inventory, shipping, and receiving activities. This position plays an important role in helping ensure customer orders are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with company quality standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in a production and warehouse environment. Previous production or warehouse experience is a plus, but new employees receive extensive on-the-job training to be successful.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow company quality and compliance procedures related to raw materials, receiving, blending, shipping, cleaning, inventory, and documentation.
  • Pull, weigh, and blend product components according to specifications for powder or liquid products.
  • Pull product samples according to procedure.
  • Prepare packaging materials for daily orders, including proper labeling.
  • Package, strap, wrap, and prepare product for shipment according to the production schedule.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Store incoming inventory appropriately.
  • Operate a forklift upon successful completion of company training.
  • Clean blending rooms, warehouse areas, equipment, and supplies according to schedule and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with light maintenance and general housekeeping as needed.
  • Read and understand work orders, labels, and written documentation.
  • Operate under and maintain quality standards in accordance with applicable cGMP and FSMA requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous production or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is helpful, but training may be provided.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and follow written procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and satisfactory attendance are essential.

Work Environment

This position works in an indoor production and warehouse environment that may be subject to heat, cold, and dust. Personal protective equipment is required as applicable and in accordance with company safety policies.

This position may require the use of respiratory protection depending on the task or work area. Employees required to wear a respirator must comply with the company’s respiratory protection program, which may include medical clearance, fit testing, and training.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to:

  • Walk extensively throughout the workday.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Use hands and fingers for picking, pinching, grabbing, and grasping.
  • Bend, reach, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift.
  • Ascend and descend platform ladders and/or steps.
  • Perform repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Use required personal protective equipment, which may include a respirator, safety glasses, gloves, and other protective equipment as required by company safety policy.
  • Read written documentation, labels, computer screens, and other work-related materials.

Schedule

This is a full-time, first-shift position.

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
No travel is expected for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

Eligible new hires may also qualify for a retention bonus during the first year of employment, subject to program terms and continued employment in good standing.

Pay: $18.50 – $19.00 per hour
